The "I'm at work and I can't be bothered" thread

Postby Klara » Tue Oct 28, 2008 12:12 pm

Hi All,

It is the middle of the morning at my work - and I am bored and can't be bothered.

I thought I would start a thread so that those of us who can't concentrate/ are bored, or whatever can write about where they would rather be!

I would rather be at a -+LIVE+- concert! I dreamt that I met the band last night and it has really left me craving for a -+LIVE+- concert.

Alternatively it is only 85 days until I head to South-East Asia - it would be really awesome if I was there already!!

I wish I was where I was 48hrs ago at the Premiere with the band, the DVD AND some LiVE buds!!!

I am amazed that I didn't see ANYONE there buy any lollies or popcorn or drinks...they were just TOO busy getting excited for the viewing...now that's fandom when the popcorn gets ignored due to pure excitement!

Work is slow..I have a lot to do...but I rather be not doing it....I think this contract will run out after next week...eeek!
Let me look into those eyes again, fill me with Vodka and replay that scene with a different end.

Where the hell do you all work that allows you to go on the interwebz and not:-
a. Be questioned about it;
b. Get all your work done.

???

They blocked everything remotely interesting at my work, but that's a tops thing to do for me. I haven't got time for interwebz in my job anyway. Although it would be nice if we could have ticket buying power at work, damn them. Those sites are blocked too. When an interesting show comes up I'm gonna have to call in a sickie to get tickets.

well I myself have access to everything on the internet, I need that level of access to do my job, I sometimes even get paid to view porn sites as part of my job description. I'm guessing there aint too many jobs that will allow it staff to do that.

I am kinda seperated from everyone else ...and I have time to get all my stuff done and browse...I'm guessing this is because each doctor has a secretary that does all the main shiz-biz and i just do the left-over stuff. I'm guessing this contract will end very soon though...maybe one more week and that's it for me :(

I work at an Environmental COnsultancy named RPS - they haven't blocked access to anything - it is great!

Same here. IT companies hardly block anything. For internet specialists... err.. especially :)
